For nine hundred and ninety nine nights
he lay breathless in the garden of delights,
watching her sweet breast rise and fall,
awaiting the caress that never came at all.
On the thousandth night as the peacock cried,
her pale hand arose to touch his side,
and his poor heart burst to leave him lying
breathless
in the garden of delights.
Mournful is the peacock’s cry.

It’s rare for me to like a poem that rhymes these days, but I really love this! You have the right balance of fantasy and maturity that make it really wonderful for me – well done!! 🙂

The only other info required would be any other links (Twitter/Facebook…) anything at all you would like to include with your credit. But it’s not essential, some just prefer a link to their blog, and that’s fine with me. But if you do have any you’d like to include, you can either post the links to me here or on my contact page on the magazine. Other than that you won’t need to do anything at all!
When the next issue is published in early May, I ‘ll get back to you here with a link. And thanks for the compliments Edwin, very much appreciated!! 🙂
